Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Bank Management

This program equally offers professionals to expand their management skills in commercial banks and microfinance institutions. It mainly focuses on developing necessary knowledge and developing a range of highly valued professional skills that are required by professionals in the deposit taking financial institutions in handling operations due to the risks in this sector. The program provides students and professionals in the deposit taking financial services sector with a general management perspective and comprehensive exposures. Our curriculum lays emphasis on the latest concepts and best practices in the different functional areas of bank management. The program places great emphasis on the quantitative as well as analytical approaches in analyzing banking core risk and performance issues in banking. The objectives of this program are to; 1) Provide students with relevant analytical training at an advanced level covering the latest developments in the management of banks and financial services firms; 2) Equip students with bank management techniques in a real-world setting; 3) Familiarize students with the latest strategic, managerial and industrial developments in the financial services industry. 4) make innovative choices and judgment about policy, operation and execution in banks and financial institutions keeping in view the macro-economic environment

Prerequisite
The minimum admission requirements are; 1) BBA with at least a second class lower division degree in accounting and finance, money and banking, management and Marketing 2) BSc with at least a second class lower division degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Management, Economics and Marketing. 3) Other undergraduate degrees in other disciplines with at least a second class lower division degree and with at least 2 years working experience in the financial services industry.
